Pioneering Family Celebration

Pioneering Family Celebration

The High Springs Chamber needs your help in identifying, recognizing and celebrating a Pioneering Family in our midst! During Pioneer Days this year we would like to recognize a family (i.e. Family Name) that was instrumental in putting High Springs, FL on the map. Perhaps they were shopkeepers who supplied necessary items for the railroad workers, or a doctor to care for the workers and their families. Perhaps it was a member of the government or law enforcement that made and enforced the laws that got us where we are today. Perhaps it's a family we simply can not imagine where'd we be without them!

Please submit a nomination form by April 4, 2008. The recipient family will be announced and contacted the week prior to Pioneer Days (April 26 & 27, 2008) and a press release will be sent out. Then, during Pioneer Days, we will recognize the family with a plaque presented by the mayor – family and friends of our Pioneering Family are welcome to join them for a commemorative photo. Questions? Call the High Springs Chamber of Commerce Visitor's Center at 386-454-3120.
