The population of the city of High Springs is approximately 3,600. When including the surrounding areas, population rises to about 9,000.

The city is governed by a mayor and four Commissioners.

Our City Hall houses all city related services: water, garbage collection, code enforcement, and a County Tag office.

We have our own Police and Fire Departments.

The City Library is part of the Alachua County Library System.

Our Recreation Department is very active and offers many organized activities for both youth and adults.
